That might have changed since the HK 243 made the prohib list last month.

Any plans to import MR223's? They seem to be out of stock everywhere except for a very few available at price gougers.

The one I had was consistent 1.25 MOA with my handloads 69gr SMK (hogie's load) or 60gr Nosler Varminters (cr5's load). If I did my part and with a little lucky could do 1 MOA but only 3 of 4 groups. Easily the most accurate semi I have ever shot. Only let her go due to weight. With a Hera Arms lower, ACR butt, Harris, AR magwell, and 6.5x20x44 Vortex I was humping 13Lbs!

If I ever got another one I would leave it stock to keep weight down. I didn't think the thumbhole stock that bad and any replacement out there adds weight.

2014 date code of manufacture (at least for the one pictured).

Can you take the handguard off and check around the barrel nut visually (probably using a flashlight) to see if there is any evidence of using locktite? Around 2010, 2011 they started to locktite the barrel nut to make changing the barrel require heating up the chamber to get the loctite to release, which is anti-consumer bullocks if you ask me.

I half wish I didn't sell mine. It's a pretty sweet gun. For accuracy. Moa is a totally reasonable expection with good ammo. Some loads will give you sub moa.

Twist is 1:7. I don't believe it is chrome lined I could be wrong.

You adjust the lop and cheek height using spacers.

Bare weight empty, with two side rails I weighed at 9lbs flat. The gun is very nose heavy due to that chunky barrel.

Spuhr does make a stanag magwell adapter for the g36 and that fits in the sl8 along with the bolt release.
