I didn't know that. I assume the RCMP used the age old "easily converted to full auto" excuse? I thought the HKSL8 and the HK243 are the same rifle internally?

Irony is the 243 has internal changes to make it more difficult to convert to full auto than the older G36 or SL8. Mounties know better than those amateur HK firearm engineers I guess.

Insert list of guns you own here:
(Who needs a registry if everyone advertises what they own)

HK makes a 416 magwell so the G36 can use 416 mags. You do have to notch it to fit in an SL-8, but mine has worked flawlessly. It's been on the gun for a couple years now. The NEA is junk. Sitting in a box in the basement right now...

God I can't seem to find a magwell anywhere. Either the Spuhr or HK 243. Where did you guys find yours.

I have a clamp on Rodale Precision clamp on brake for my SL-8, I didn't want to thread the barrel on this one. The Rodale brake is actually quite nice and does makes a difference.

I had the SPUHR magwell adapter for mine, I thought it was junk. Ergonomics are terrible, you can't reach the mag release, mags need to be wrestled back out, etc...the factory setup is way better, the only thing the conversion had going for it was the bolt hold in the trigger guard.
