Norinco 308 Win, Is this the Right Ammo?

I got the spam can open a couple inches (it's an ordeal as the tool supplied is terrible, unless I'm missing a trick to it), enough to get a few rounds out...

    Is this the right ammo?

Reading glasses are now on and you are correct. I was having a tough time with the 'big can opener' tool that I had from my Russian spam cans. I guess it pays to put those babies on every once and a while.

    Your .308 say "96 C J" on it?

My last batch of Chinese ammo (45acp and 7.62x39) had the caliber on it, box and/or case...

That is definitely the right ammo. I've run it in everything from M305s, XCRs, and RFBs. Runs like a hot damn and is surprisingly clean for what it is.

I have Norinco 308 in front of me now. Says 61 on one side and 93 on the other like yours. No idea what the numbers mean but no the caliber is not written.
