Would a 6.5 Creedmore be the same bolt as 308?

    Is a 6.5 Grendel basically a beefed up 7.62x39?

Rim diameter between .308 and 6.5 Creedmore is the same. As for the 6.5 Grendel compared to the 7.62x39, it's roughly the same bullet weight just a smaller diameter - not really beefed up or down just moee ballistically efficient.

I've had it confirmed the bolt is the same as 7.62x39.

I've not had this confirmed yet, but the 6.5 Creedmoor is based on the 308 case, so I'm expecting them to be the same.

I've been in contact with both RA and Wolverine. The 6.5 Grendel barrels have been in production and shipping out. American friends on other forums that have placed orders haven't received them yet, which makes one wonder about readiness. Wolverine Supplies has told me that the first runs had some potential accuracy issues and were waiting for that to be tuned, that FRT's are complete and they're waiting on the turning and licensing to clear for shipping out of the states. I've been told this could take a while, and be around Fall before we can get them.
