A 500 4.2 with no brake, i would have loose money to buy one just for fun... JP.

I've shot one cylinder full with a 2.5" M29. It's an experience I would gladly try to forget! The cylinder catch tore a small chunk out of my thumb.
Can't imagine a 4.2" 500!

Registration leads to confiscation .
Both the 460 and 500 were available as 2.5" models in those orange and yellow "Emergency Kits" that S&W had a few years ago. If a 2.5" barrel is possible, then I don't see why 4.2" would be so far-fetched. Heck, even the 500 comes in a 3.5" model now. Personally, I'd like to see the 460 XVR, Performance Center edition (with non-fluted cylinder) come with a 4.2" barrel, instead of the 3.5" barrel.
I would love a 4.2 500!! i want bigger fireballs then my 6.5" 500 can offer, also not a fan of the half under lug. If i could find a range that would allow it i would love to duel wield 500's
