Also has anyone actually worn a mr308 receiver yet? Iirc one of the big changes was the receiver is steel for the g28

Check again before you give bad info out. I've got two on here for sale. Both are Restricted.

Restricted on barrel lenght just like any other semi auto. There are non restricted barrels for the USC.
The only rifle that can be restricted based on the type is the AR-15. The rest are either non restricted, restricted on barrel lenght or prohibited.
