Pretty much everyone has seen the HK G28Z posted by North Sylva, but on the show floor people seem to be a bit confused as what it will be called. One thing for sure, unlike SHOT SHOW, anything you see inside the commercial booth will be available for civilian purchase. So the G28 is definitely coming.

The show floor model is actually a G28E, E stands for "export" and whatever the G28ish rifle going to sold to the civie world will be similar.

The difference between the real G28 and the G28Z is the gas block. Picture #2 shows the suppressor adjustment on the right side, which is not the same as the G28. This gas block adjustment actually reminds me of the HK 416N for norway. HK cannot sell the G28Z with the real G28 suppressor gas block, for obvious german political reason.

No price , no flyer - North Sylva got that covered.

In simple words,HK and their LE/Mil clients in Europe and Asia do not really care about North American civilians' love affair with SR25 patterned mags. Unlike 5.56 weapons, there was not even an attempt or draft to have a NATO standard. The main clients of HK 7.62 NATO system is wide enough that they don't need to care about catering to the US civilian crowd, which they don't sell a lot to.

If the US ends up buying that 3800 HK CSASS after the acceptance trial, the new standard will be HK mags, and you probably will see magpul making a PMAG in HK mag format.

HK does have a very wide range of clientele, Maybe they don't need to be competitor with other manufacture at the moment, Nothing will change if People don't Request. If HK can sell 100 Rifle instead of 50.
