I zoomed in on the one with the gold cactus on it (I want that one even more than the pirate one) and it has the beginning of a Sam Houston quote on it "I would give no thought of what the world might say of me, if I could only transmit to posterity the reputation of an honest man." so I guessing that the Texas State Legislature engraved on the frame.
