We are happy to announce our new S&J Hardware plate carrier.
Like all of our product, a lot of thought and time has gone into this project.
We have been work on this project on and off for 3+ years.
Working with other people in the textile industry and other Gear makers both In Canada, USA and the UK, has turned into along battle with trying to get contractors to do what we asked.
Lack of understanding and inability to make a product that meet our very high standard has put this project on hold many times.
That all said this last 6 months, we have been working with company local to us, that understands, what perfection is, and understands that many peoples lives will depend on this product being perfect.
Many of the people involved in this project are life long armed force members, and many of the staff are married to armed forces members.
Our new Plate carrier is a combined effort from people both in the Police, Mil, Army, SOF and security contractors.
We have taken the very best ideas from 10 different plate carriers, combine with the ideas we have and T&E from our
Police, Mil, Army, SOF and security contractors.
Some of the spec of the plate carrier .
Frame and backing of the carrier is make from 1 pc of 36 oz Hypalon, these means no chance of shoulder straps coming unstitched if you have to put excessive load on the plate carrier (man down/ dragging a team mate of the X)
Backing is made from 3d spacer mesh
ITW quick mount buckles
vertical webbing for itw quick clips are Velcro covered to no loss of contact on covered up with hook side velcro
Cummberbunn. 4 inch elastic with built in mag holder/ storage, box stitched triple stitch is high wear areas
Cummberbunn has 14 inch of adjustment, with Hypalon pull tabs
Shoulder straps have 8 inch of adjustment, will 1 ¼ slots lasercut into them to allow for attachment is needed.
Plate pocket size will take 10x12 shooters cut plates up to 1 inch thick.
Both front and back are fully covered in Velcro , so as to not limit your placement of Pouch. Or I.D patch.
All Textiles meet US mil spec, inc Rot resistant stitching.
As all textiles use are synthetic , this plate carrier will not retail any water, and have a very low IR signature.
100% made in Canada but people that understand that “ good enough” is not acceptable
