Question about purchasing first firearm

So im thinking of getting a 22lr handgun new from a store. and i am curious if people bring bore lights to check the barrel of new firearms, or only when buying used ones?

or do we just trust the dealer?

I have never bothered with a bore light to check a handgun, new or used, totally up to you of course, but I can not recall ever hearing of a new handgun with a bore issue, I'm sure it can occur, but probably so rare it is a non issue, most handguns these days are very well built.

you want to look at it with a light go right ahead nobody will stop you... you never know you may find something you dont want... go for it, it never hurts to be sure
