For those of you not following along, a pistol mag must first be produced, like a LAR mag. Simply pinning a rifle mag to 10 is not allowed. Its the same idea as Magpul Pmag 10 rounders, they are not built as pistol mags so they are still required to be pinned to 5.

But yet, the Hi Point 9mm Carbine mags are pinned to 5. They are pistol mags, but only a rifle that uses them is available, so "The Man" calls them rifle mags. (Alternatively, for the 40/45 Hi points, both pistols and carbines are available so they are pinned to 10) Following this logic, you'd think that if we only have a pistol available, then the only mags are also pistol mags.

But there is already a rifle FRT, and already limited to 5 rounds, does not need to be non restricted to be a rifle.
