MSRP$856.79. SKU: M14-76239. Comes with two 5/30 magazine. Rife is non-restricted.

Somebody do a 100 yard comparison with the longer sight radius and we can put to bed the question of "is it the cartridge" or the short AK/SKS sight.
I want to like it but a cheaper SKS will do the same thing. Kudo's for someone bringing this into Canada. Just not my cup of tea.

If you can run M14.ca stuff on it then I would say it's not futile. Dressed up it would look a lot nicer than a dressed up sks

I guess first question: Mag type and availability.
Second question: What is the weight
Third question: Is it the same footprint as the .308 M-305, or is it a shorter action

It looks really interesting and my first instinct says, "I want one," But it we are looking at uber expensive or hard to find mags, with a rifle that weighs the same as the .308 I'm not seeing a huge advantage other than cheaper ammo, and if you're buying non-corrosive or hunting ammo the savings disappear pretty quick.
My wife calls me a pessimist. I claim I'm a realist. But I'm probably just an a$$hole with an attitude problem.

Would be great with a folding stock and pistol grip configuration at this price point.

For that price I'd buy a used American made mini30 or add a few bucks and but a new one .
