    Between surplus and commercial .357 Magnum? Yes, there's a difference. Between commercial 7.62x25 and plain vanilla .38 Specials? A bit, but no different than 9mm vs .45acp. Reloaded .38 specials blast it out of the water in regards to cost. Nevermind that you could ethically whack a deer with a .357 Mag, a 86gr SP in 7.62x25 isn't going to come close.

    I wouldn't be interested in a lever action 7.62x25. But a small mini mauser short barrel bolt action taking tokarev mags,
    Or a break action single shot.
    Or a 10" rifled chamber adapter in 12 gauge.
    All of these would interest me much more

    That would be pretty intense. You'd get some good FPS from a full sized barrel in that caliber too
