The new design features include a heavy-duty monolithic quadrail system and a re-designed aluminum pump handle for use with included vertical foregrip. Comes with a 14" barrel with interchangeable chokes.

The development of the original SAP6 shotgun sought to overcome many of the shortfalls of the common and dated shotgun design. The use of a detachable magazine allows for a shorter barrel without the sacrifice of magazine capacity. The shorter length results in a shotgun that is lighter, more compact and faster for CQB, action shooting and hunting scenarios. The detachable magazine also allows for easy and rapid loading and unloading over conventional tube type systems. Magazine seating is straight insertion style, allowing for smooth and simplistic reloads. The telescoping stock features multiple positions, permitting comfortable use by all. Pump handle is spring assisted.

Reliability has always been a concern with detachable magazine shotguns, which is why the SAP6 has gone under an extensive testing and evaluation process involving multiple prototypes. That looks pretty good. Anyone have experience with the other SAP-6's? From what I've read Turkish guns aren't really made to the highest standard.

Many Turkish shotguns are excellent quality... Part of the bad rap is knockoffs... One maker will have success with a design and numerous lookalikes show up within months.

My only experience was with an early SAP6. Overall it was fine quality for the money, but I really didn't like the spring assisted pump, or the fact it didn't lock shut. I'm too used to a Mossberg or Remington style action that locks shut unless fired.

TI, does this SAP6 2.0 version operate with the same spring assisted pump that holds the gun in battery? I.e. no locking lugs like a traditional shotgun?

I've got the sap 6 competition model with the 14 inch barrel, only ran a couple boxes through it so far but no issues yet
