Definitely not a fan of the marking, I see it as just another bad decision, but some of the complains are a little overboard.

It will destroy air soft and paintball?

It will cost so much more?

I have read the articles, but I don't see it.... I would figure the cost of a $25 punch... And a guy with a hammer.

Not happy about it, but you can't tell me that would not happen.

Like I said, I am not a fan, and I can understand added costs, delays, and issues.... But FFS guns are ordered and come in with special markings all the time.

Although... Maybe the RCMP is planning a complete cessation of import because all these guns will need new FRT numbers with their special marking.... CZ-585 import version CA-17.... Obviously not the same as all the CZs already here.

Just a note. Laser engraving probably would not be accepted as it would not be deep enough according to the rules.

Then each individual firearm needs to be unpacked, marked, and repacked. After the initial equipment cost for the marking machine, labour will form the biggest part.
