This is not meant to be a bear defence gun. It's around 38" long and weighs like 8lbs. And some guys here stating that it's the perfect camping or trail riding gun? Not quite.

Stick with a 45-70 round in a compact rifle that will take down anything in North America. Or a 626 Classic in .44 mag strapped to hip.

    Enough said.

And I've been hunted by a griz. Give me the biggest hunk of lead at manageable recoil possible with the fastest possible follow up. My normal carry is a 45-70 marlin gbl cause I know it will stop whatever is hunting me. I'd have no hesitation carrying a 10mm or 45. I'll pass on 9mm for a bear defense round.

My question would be given the design of the Kriss, why would you get a 9mm? It's designed for recoil management with larger hunks of lead. Get one of the "normal" semi's in 9. They have minimal recoil in carbines anyway. Use the Kriss the way it was designed...
Good points! I am looking forward to the 10mm Vector. It will be coming with me on trips for sure. Capacity, Caliber, Mag fed, Non Rest. It checks a lot of the right boxes

Maybe you're right. I think you'd go broke using a 10mm for plinking. If your main use is hunting or protection in the woods, I see why the more powerful calibers would appeal to you. I Iive in downtown Toronto, so I'll never have to use it to protect myself against a Bear. Lol.

But maybe a folding stock would be a good idea if being carried in a pack or moving around with it.

Ive read somewhere that the folding stock will not fit on a gen 2. Maybe someone can confirm this?

PS. I don't live in my parents basement. Geez. Lol.

LOL, all good! 10 is no more expensive than .40 to load once you have some brass. Truth be told, it will be used for everything, plinking, 3 gun and wilderness carry. The GLock 40 I have is what tipped the scales in favor of the big 10. As a self professed recoil junkie, I am curious to see what the Vector can do to tame it down a little.

And it's cool to have the biggest baddest caliber (other than 357SIG) in a platform. Everyone has a 45 or 9... not too many will have 10mmAuto, and that in itself is part of the appeal too.

I'm in midtown Toronto, but I still went for the .45, and very nearly the 10mm. Personal preferences I suppose. But yes, I was dead serious about the Vector being a viable hunting gun. Certainly not even close to the best choice, but definitely a lot of fun

Edit: The folding stock will fit older Gen 2s, but the 2017 version appears to have the stock attach directly to the receiver where as the older Gen 2s still have the hinge assembly.

I think the best part of the Vector is the caliber choices that crossover with the GLOCK platform.

    10mmAuto, 357SIG, 45Auto, 9mm. What could be better?

    Vector for the win!

Lol. Never liked this guy. He's an idiot. Shot the chrono. Too funny.

Sootch00 has a decent review of the 10mm Kriss. Only a few days old.
