It's a business decision since they are trying to cash in on the brand "Kodiak Defence". Also not everyone is handy enough to swap out the stock on an SKS. That's the thing, maybe he can, certainly lots of DIY/How to videos out there, but its 'Time or Money', maybe he has the Time to do it/figure it out, maybe screw up one or 2 cheapie Russians along the way? Who knows- Either your Time or your Money. I'd like to save time & pay some xtra $ & have this, but just in the regular wood. Then I'd bite in that price range {& Time savings} - I really dont like those stocks, more-so than me being cheap
