I drove over to P&D this afternoon and at the checkout I was told I couldn't buy Campro 40 S&W projectiles with my PAL. I didn't have my PAL with me and so my trip was wasted.

Seems odd to me - anyone know if the rules have changed? If someone at P&D gave me bad info then I don't think I'll go back.

So - anyone know where's a good place to buy Campro bullets around Edmonton? Bullets are expensive to ship so I thought it would best best to buy local and support local shops. Does Phoenix Range sell Campro?
Thanks.

Why is everyone shocked places want your PAL to buy components just the same as anmo and guns? I'm sorry, I support P&D and any other business that's requires PAL for anything. Either bring it or if you don't have one wait???

Why would you want to produce a PAL for bullets? I would go elsewhere when a business goes beyond the law.

Never had to show my pal when buying loading components of any kind, don't think I would show it if asked for that matter either. It's not a requirement of the law that I know of.

I guess people are bothered because it's NOT a legal requirement. Do you support showing your driving license to buy a pair of socks? Would you produce your passport to see a movie? Same thing.

Would I expect to show ID to buy a Keg Tap? Yes yes I would..... do I have no, but why because there is only one use for it. Why would I risk my business name because I sold some guy bullets, who potentially doesn't have a pal and does something stupid with them for minimal gain...

Unless the seller had direct knowledge of a crime being planned, how would their business be at risk? Can they be held responsible if a licensed gun owner bought a handgun at their shop and later used it in a crime?

I'm sorry if the gunsmithing shop I work at ever started asking for a PAL for reloading components I would refuse to do that and/or just quit.

what is this fascination with canadians feelng responsible for the actions of others?
