How would you cut that zip tie off without the risk of putting a scratch on the gun?

Even with side cutters I'm always worried about a scratch.....especially if the zip tie is tight and lying flush against the gun's surface.
I still think that a cheap plastic trigger lock is a far better idea. Especially on valuable or collectible guns. A forum sponsor has them at $9.99 for a 10 pack.

A trigger lock would not prevent some yokel from cocking the hammer - and leaving a drag mark on the cylinder. I think the zip-tie is a brilliant idea - and a pair off small side cutters would have no problem snipping that off, without leaving a mark. There's always the cutting torch option !
