    Just an observation.

I've noticed that this rifle and the Volquartsen from your last progressive sale are listed on your website at substantially lower prices then the starting bids for these threads. The Volquartsen started at 3299 and sold at 2699...the list price on your website before the sale was 2699.99(99 cent savings on your list price). As for the Arsenal rifle it started at 1399 for the progressive sale but lists at 1224.99(we're sitting at 1225 right now on this guy)

I'm on your website quite a bit and was eyeing up that Volquartsen for some time before the progressive sale began

    Clarification would be great...thanks

Perhaps the website reflects the ever evolving sale price...........

1700 - $1199 That's the end of day one! Tune in tomorrow for the exciting continuation of Blitz 2 (assuming it doesn't sell tonight)

I have a feeling you will not get your answer. It is obvious what is happening and by explaining it will ruin the fun.

Doesn't seem mysterious at all to me, starting bid is higher than list price, probably to give the sale a chance to get attention and garner some interest. That's what I would do. Same as any auction, you don't start the bidding at the estimated value of the item, you start low and work up. Here you start high and work down. Simple. Why anyone would pull the trigger at $.99 below list, well, you'd have to ask the buyer.

I didn't expect wanstalls to inflate the price prior to the progressive sales, seems greasy.

All they did was start at full retail....
