Yes, you're putting a spring under tension racking the bolt so you'll feel some resistance. They're pretty easily modified, just depends what you want to add ie. forend grips/optics/light/lasers etc

Yeah it's a tough pull, there's aftermarket charging handles that help a bit. Did you lube it up? I use frog lube on there, MPro synthetic gun grease works too.
Would be nice if we have m and p mag versoon. ..
