I have both but the problem is that you can't hunt with an AR,not even gophers.

Yes, true enough, the sks has that going for it, non restricted so far, hopefully always will be! But as prices go up, there are other nr firearms/calibers that have cheaper ammo. Either way, the price of sks and x39 will meet an equilibrium, where it is still viable, until of course they run out!

What some people are forgetting is that cheap x39 keeps all other calibers prices down as well. If the surplus dries up it will push other calibers up....we saw this happen in the states with the 7n6 fiasco
