I never thought I'd say this but NEA are kind of expensive right now compared to other brands (PSA, S&W).

You also get more features stock on the NEA than a base model AR. Maybe not to justify 450$ but keep in mind those cheap American AR should be selling 1000$ and might very well soon be back to that price.
Yes a free float mlok and low profile gas block is a substantial upgrade. 250$ or so. You also get a better stock. Different flash hider too. Like I said it's not worth the current 450$ price difference unless you value buying Canadian and want anything other than a 16" barrel...
I thought NEA was chinese stuff.
I looked at a 300 BLK upper, but it's more expensive than a budget AR and it's only 140$ less than a complete rifle, so getting the whole rifle make more sense imho.
Anyway it's not like our CFO will approve an AR transfer before the end of time...
In fact I just bought an AR on May 24th and got the approval on June 2nd. Not too bad.
And can you get that 700$ S&W in .300 BlackOut? In anything other than 16" 5.56 actually? Thought so.
The CFOs are actually fast for a change. My last 3 restricted deals I had the paperwork in 5 - 9 days that's decent!!!!
No my point is the NEA rifle is 900$ and the NEA upper is 770$ (both canam prices), so just 130$ to get the complete rifle. Makes more sense to get the whole rifle than keep switching upper on a rifle imho.
I ordered May 17th (i think) and still no news. CFO probably just hate me.
