A magnum rimfire, maybe something like the 22Mag, with full capacity magazines in Semi Auto.

This ⬆. It blows my mind that no one has done this yet

Dont know how to post pics yet but I just found something to give you an idea. Not quite what I was thinking but pretty close. Needs something a little better to partially cover the receiver for protection as well as a better cheek rest.
Google XLR Industries Bullpup Chassis. Very little info or pictures on this as nothing ever became of it. There is a thread on www.ar15.com with a picture. Now the XLR chassis is shown with a Remington 700 and we all know that is not a possibility for us but I see no reason this type of rifle can't be a reality with a new receiver purpose built for this project.

How about 5/10 mini 14 mags? Factory 5 rounders are a pita to lock in.
Well it's vise grips for pliers, and pliers for a wrench
A wrench for a hammer, hammers everything else

Maybe not "an SKS" but it does describe MY SKS lol

Another suggestion that has to be thrown out there............Although it would be a HUGE project to take on, and would require lots of investments im sure...... but SOMEBODY at some point NEEDS to produce a NR Dragunov looking rifle for this country. Chambered in 54R of coarse. But .308 would be sweet too.

I agree 1/2 moa is not necessary but a well thought out design should have no problem achieving 1 moa or better.
MDT would be the best place to start for the chassis design and would provide a good balance of quality and price. Only problem is a new receiver would have to be designed for this rifle. If they simply took any existing manufactures receiver and applied it to this new bullpup rifle the RCMP would classify it as a conversion and therefore be deemed prohibited. The R&D for a new chassis and receiver to build it would account for nearly $1000 of its price tag with an additional minimum of $1500 more for the rifle build itself. I think my original estimate of a $2500 price tag is more than realistic and not out of reach for a lot of customers.
2500 sounds like a lot when another place can make an ultra high end NR semi auto for 3400.

2500 would still knock a lot of people from the market.
