Just a question, the receipts are no good to claim as charity I am thinking, as there is tax added! Is that correct? It doesn't really matter, just wanted to know!

No, cannot be claimed. You are buying a patch, not donating. Wolverine is donating the proceeds to charity, and can claim the tax deduction.
