    My re-barreled CZ858!

Received my 858 a few weeks ago and I finally have it looking like I want. Thought I'd share a few photo so everyone could see Dlask's great work. This is just a copy of my post over in the red rifles forum.

    Details:
    CZ858
Rebarreled by Dlask with Green Mountain nitrided stainless barrel. Heavier under the handguards, slightly heavier forward of the gas block.
    Magpul Zhukov handguard
    Magpul AK MOE pistol grip
    Magpul CTR
    NEA stock adapter
    Elcan Spectre OS4x

Pictured with 100yd 5 shot group using Hornady 123gr SST steel cased ammo.

Nice looking build, and a hell of a group! Well done! I might as well ask before someone else inevitably does...was it a pricy build?

I don't know much about the rail other than it's entirely plastic. I picked it up at a local gunshop out of the junk drawer in the back for $20 - I just wanted something to colour match because all I had was the red stock furniture.

A bit of background on the rifle - I bought the gun back in 2007/8, sold it to a friend who let the gun sit for a few years after firing corrosive ammo which resulted in a pretty rough bore. Bought the gun back for $150 so it was a very easy decision to have it rebarreled - cost of having the rebarrel done was about $700. The cost of parts (handguard, pistol grip, dust cover, etc) is in the neighbourhood of $400 I would guess.

I have Dlask re-barreled CZH2003 sitting on the bench. Haven't decided which forearm to go with yet. Eyeing up the D-force (which will require some mods) or the Magpul AK handgaurd (not Zhukov).

Seeing you results will get me moving again on it. Lol

Thanks so much for the props. We do our best with these conversions because gosh darnit we just LOVE the 858's so much. Damn nice Zhukov hand guard conversion too. Something about that on an 858 just looks right to me. Wish I had one....( :

As far as I know, Dlask will only do 7.62x39. I've asked about 6.5 Grendel in the past and they wouldn't do it unfortunately.
