    Email?

    Hello WestRifle,

I emailed you a question through your website a week ago and have yet to receive a response. I was seeking clarification on the details of some of the scopes you sell and would like to place an order but not until I get the information I need. Could you please check your email. Thank you.

    Hi,

I am interested in the "Rifle scope POSP 4x24 WITH SIDE PLATE FOR MOUNT" but before I order one I would like to ask a few questions:

    1. Is this a POSP (Made in Belarus) or a PSO (Made in Russia) scope?
    2. What is the colour and type of finish? Is it matte black or is it the hard grey finish?
    3. What type of reticle does it have? There are so many types of reticles for these scopes... Some have the BDC calibrated for 7.62x54R (Dragunov style) and others are calibrated for 7.62x39 (Simonov) and then there are some that the rangefinder is calibrated for 1.3m, 1.5m, and even 1.7m targets.
    4. What kind of side rail mount is this? The AK or SVD style?

Could you please clarify... I would like to have one in grey with the 7.62x39 Simonov reticle with the SVD style mount. Please let me know if you have any in stock.

    Thanks very much.

Which type of reticle do your scopes have?

There is a very big difference between the AK style mount and the SVD style mount. Which ones do you stock?

You can see the obvious difference between the AK/Saiga/Vepr style mounts and the SKS/Dragunov/Tiger style mounts on Eastwave's website:
    http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes.html

I'm told by other members that the ideal mount for the SKS is the SVD (SKS/Dravunov/Tiger) style as they sit at the perfect height and the AK style mounts are very very high.

As you can see there are many variations/combinations with each scope depending on mount style, magnification, reticle style (range finder and bullet drop compensator). Please let me know which ones you have in stock (please be specific).

    SVD Style Mount:

    http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes/posp4x24t.html
    http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes/posp6x24.html

    AK Style Mount:
    http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes/posp4x24v.html
    http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes/posp4x24vm.html
    http://www.eastwave.ca/products/scopes/6x24v.html

Thanks very much for clarifying... I just want to make sure I know what I'm getting when I order.

    Cheers,
    Andreas
