Interestingly, Firearms Outlet Can... In Ajax had the Howa bolt gun with an installed scope & bipod for C$799.00. A better deal I think. The CZ version is probably the best quality but for C$1100.00?
You know Ruger makes one too right? Uses the Mini-30 mags.
    Prost!

I just picked one of these up. Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that these are almost secret or something? I can’t find any evidence of it’s existence through Savage and very little info online. Even the generic axis manual it comes with lists various chamberings but not x39. I’m gonna toss a long eye relief scope on it and see what it can do.

If you read the heading, it tells you why.

. Cause it’s a North Sylva exclusive? Surely there would still be information out there. Savage has info about other limited run rifles on their site. Thanks for the help though.

Anyone have any magazine advice/ideas for this thing? I’ve already completely trashed the plastic one it comes with. The tab that holds the metal box into the plastic base broke almost instantly and it won’t feed reliably now. Pushes rounds all sorts of directions but never into the chamber. The little metal tab at the back broke too somehow. I wonder if the 22-250 magazine would work?
