I am definitely tempted at the SS competition you are selling, especially at that price, great value. But I would love the new Trophy

Can the series 70 with the dual spring use regular springs ? Also what are the mechanical differences between the competition model and a regular series 70

By my observations you'll need a government type recoil spring guide rod in order to use a single spring. The guide rod on the competition is more narrow in order to accommodate the second spring.

I keep meaning to order one myself.

Arms East - ever consider bringing in VZ grips? They OEM the Colt Competition ones. I'll have to buy a set some day, since I hate the looks of the thumb scallop that come on these

    38 Super?
Not released in the new model. We can still get the 38 super in the S80 Competition.

We have these in regular CDN inventory. I think we removed the 3 week wait from the description?
