Hey CGN, we have a huge inventory of both of the most popular pump action shotguns on the market, and we wanted to show them off and ask what you all think about them, as well as what shotgun the majority of you think is better. In one corner we have the famous Remington 870, known for its reliability and years of Police service, and in the other the Equally known and respected Mossberg 500/590 series, incredibly reliable and with Military contracts to boot. Depending on who you ask, some will swear by the 870 platform, and others will only carry a Mossberg into the woods for bear protection. Ok, they are both great, but I have 870's.

-Raptor grip 14" barrel "bush gun"
-Tactical 18" magpul with ghost sights
-30" barrel trap gun.

Somehow I want a "little beaver" model and a 20 ga one day.

I like the safety location better on 870's than on mossberg models. The mossberg chainsaw was pretty cool and I almost had one of those.

modern production remingtons suck, they use mim'd parts for the extractor and other places don't they? an old wingmaster though...

I'd say the mossberg is a better tough gun to abuse and stuff, but an old wingmaster is very, very easy on the eyes with some good wood.
