Parcels are sent via Canada Post and include $100 insurance and signature required. Extra insurance is available at extra cost to you per Canada Post $2.20 per $100 optional.
I think you'd have to check with the folks at MD Charlton. I believe they are the importer for the Sauer line. I have a 30-06 in the regular 101 line. It is a most excellent rifle. I have no complaints.

The 101 Alaska is in stock, please have your dealer call MD Charlton for prices and available calibers. It comes with Silver Ilaflon rust protection coating, a high-end laminated stock concept, 56 cm (22 in) Standard barrel and 62 cm (24.4 in) Magnum barrel and is also available with a TB. I inquired about one in 7mm MAG in March, was told none in stock and 5 month wait. CDN MSRP was $2999.
30.06 / 6.5x55 / 7x64 / 9.3x62 all ready to ship but yes a custom order will be a bit for sure.
