Very slow service, avoid dealing with Gravel if you can help it

Just posting my only experince with Gravel, so people know what theyre in for before sending in their firearm for any warranty work. I got a confirmation from Canada Post that they first received my shotgun for warranty work over 16 weeks ago. Every few weeks I ask for an update, and each time they say it will be a few more weeks. They ordered the wrong part, need to order another one, etc.

I guess there isnt much other choice in Canada for warranty work, but my point is that if you think you can pay to get your gun repaired elsewhere it might be worth it, unless you want to miss an entire summer of shooting

They wait for parts like a car dealer. Was it a domestic-NA firearm or something else? There are a few factors that can contribute to a delay.

Warranty for firearms in this country just plain sucks dosnt matter who it's through it always takes forever. That's the product of Canada being such a small part of the gun market and the bull#### regulations regarding shipping across the border sure dosnt help much eigther.
Go read that shlock to a soldier or a fireman or a football player or a bloody barber Theyll all knock your "this" right down your throat while sippin a beer and eating chicken wings. Then wipe their wee fingers on your pretty little pouch"

Absolutely true: I have a shotgun out on warranty with another center (not Gravel) that was sent end of May and it is NOT expected back until 2018 due to the issue of getting the part from the USA.

My rifle was at Grech for 8 months. Consider yourself lucky.

Glock warranty will have my G19 back to me in under 6 weeks, and it was an overhaul. Rampart handles their stuff IIRC. Some manufacturers will get things back to you in a reasonable amount of time, whether there product is in Canada or not.

*If I'm not allowed to mention the dealer in my post here I will remove it*

I had a pretty good experience with them. I bought a new-ish Marlin 1895 SBL from a guy, then later discovered the front site was slightly canted to the left. The email back and forth with Gravel was great (they always responded within a day or so). They agreed to warranty work even though I had no receipt. Sent in the gun and about 6 weeks later they sent me a brand new gun.

    Yup.
3.5 month wait on a Benelli repair for me. It mainly involved replacing tiny screw.

I sent them an email with an inquiry 3 days ago and they never responded. That has nothing to do with border control so I think they likely just have poor CS.

I've dealt with the Gravel agency and they were great. Sent my Marlin in and they sent me a new one back in less than a month.
