why 45 acp is more expensive than 223?

45 always has been, atleast in my lifetime. The most costly part of the cartridge is usually the bullet, and if you break down just the sheer size of the raw materials, 55 grains of lead and copper vs 230 grains of lead and copper.Originally Posted by guess_kto
