no one answered the phone when I called, so Ill post in this thread... backpacker 2 12 gauge I just received, the hammer doesnt lock back if I try to cock it, is there some kind of trick to this thing, or do I have a defective one? (pull on the hammer is incredibly strong as well)

Wood is nice, fit and finish is good, no obvious blemishes. Action is stiff and trigger is not so great when dry fired. Hope to shoot it tomorrow.

    Whatever

That doesn't sound right, shoot an e-mail to info@canadaammo.com

A few people are on vacation right now, sorry boys.

Desperado looks to be sold out. We're getting more.

    Possible ETA on the Desperados?
Perhaps cylinder bore and two triggers?

Got my Bandit last night. The Turkish Walnut is gorgeous and it passes the magnet test for all parts being steel. The metalworking and fitment seems a tad shoddy, however, and cocking the action is a chore (literally must be braced against the leg and cocked with an overhand grip; very heavy resistance). Hopefully it will become easier as it breaks in. Barrel does not appear to be chrome lined and this is an extractor model, not ejectors. Overall, I think this will be a fun little rig. Thanks Canada Ammo!

Any with full-length barrels for trap shooting on the horizon?
Anyone doing any Long-Range, Pistol, or Action-Shooting in or around the Elk Valley/Crowsnest Pass? I'd love to tag along, send me a PM

Got my Marine Kodiak yesterday , cleaned it and took it out today.
Shot the livin' bejeezuz out of it ! Put about 75 rounds of 00 buck through it. Must have shot 12 or so milk jugs , and 0 problems.
Very nice lil gun for the $ . We'll see how it holds up over time. Now I need to pick up a Desperado after seeing the pics.
