Some of the Ex Com Bloc bullets makers PPU and Russ have been using bullet tips that were designed for the 7.62x54 in newly made 308 ammo,
I pulled each brand I bought to confirm , they have a hollow cone in the base this was done so even if the russian rifles had shot out or different bore sizes the gas
would seal the bore, It would have been interesting to see you shoot the Austrian ball or Fed ball 147gr, Just a heads up Chez.
ball ammo in 308 (yes they make it) and the Chez 7.62x54 use a boat tail bullet like American and Canadian IVI ammo.
Next go to the range can you try the Austrian Ball ammo or Fed Mil Spec, I think your groups would improve, if any one else
has tried the Austrian ball , please let me know how it shoots, or the Fed Ball, before I buy ammo in greater batches knowing
the grouping would be a big help. Has any one shot Norinco ammo in these rifles?
