When Larry Vickers and Wilson Combat got together in 2014 to collaborate on a new 1911 design they built a high end 1911 that is all business for real world use. Once the design was conceptualized they built seven prototypes for marketing and photographic purposes. These Prototypes are brand new and have been stored in the Wilson Vault ever since the Vickers release. We have be afforded access to 4 of these 1911's (2 armour tuff black, 2 armour tuff black gray) from Wilson for sale in Canada.

These immaculate, new custom guns are 100% new and are marked “Prototype” on the frame under the grips. Vickers has years of service, pistolsmithing, competition and shooting instruction, has led to improved design features on the 1911. Included in his design are his patented Vickers 1911 mags included in with this gun!
Vickers modifications:
Vickers added the “rounded butt” magazine well for better grip
He also added a heavy machine chamfer on the bottom of the slide to eliminate the sharp edges
Vickers also crowned the match-grade barrel and spec'd a thick flange bushing and a flush-cut barrel to improve accuracy
and protect the gun should it be dropped.
The barrel is fluted to create space for debris to accumulate enhancing reliability.

These prototype pistols only differ slightly from the current model and lack the high grip beavertail, chamfered slide stop pin and wear standard Wilson style cocking serrations. A great chance to own a piece of Wilson Combat history!
