How it Works


iTarget works with both Apple and Android phones. It allows you to train at home with an actual firearm by using the "iTarget Pro" phone app and a laser bullet. The phone is placed into the iTarget sled with its camera pointed at the shooting target. The app monitors the target for hits from the laser bullet and maps the hits onto the phone's display - showing you precisely where you shot the target.


The US military, Police departments, and competitive shooters all use dry fire training to become better at hitting their targets. Dry fire training will help you to improve the fundamental skills involved in shooting a firearm. You can practice proper grip, trigger control, sight alignment and breathing techniques. It can also help you to overcome any bad habits you may have developed, such as the anticipation of recoil.


iTarget makes dry fire practice more fun, giving you instant feedback by showing you precisely where your shots hit the target. It also allows you to track your progress by saving the results directly to your phone. The laser bullet functions like a snap cap, so there is no damage to the weapon.


The Laser Bullets


The Laser Bullets are designed without a rim, so they are not ejected by the firearm. When you are done practicing, you can remove the Laser Bullet by pushing it out with a pencil.
They function like snap caps and are harmless to the weapon. The hardened rubber back absorbs the impact from the firing pin.


The iTarget Sled


The iTarget Sled is designed to fit phones/cases up to 80mm wide. The sled is adjustable so you can adjust the target's distance and lateral movement in order for the phone to be able to "see" the entire target image. The sled is designed to passively amplify the phone's speaker. The Target Plate section is designed to hold a standard 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper. We ship the sled with the printed target for the "Bullseye" training mode included.

The iTarget Pro Apps


BULLSEYE


You shoot at a standard scoring Target. The App gives you instant feedback, showing you precisely where your shots are hitting. You can track your progress by saving your target image to your phone, or share it with your friends.


QUICK DRAW


When the App gives the signal, it starts a timer. Your time is recorded for each shot so you can see how accurate and quick you were to the draw.
