    Yes threaded - 1/2" X 28 tpi , the bird cage can be replaced if you're inclined to put something else on there for customization.

    Thinking about picking this up as my first AR, and wondering what the more experienced guys think of 1-8 twist rate for surplus and other 55 grain ammo?
