    Thanks for the feedback Crash.
Army Issue, Can you measure the length ( inseam?) from the arm pit to the end of the sleeve on a large?

Thanks again, I was hoping Army Issue Surplus could pull a measurement from their current surplus stock....

The thickness of the material is thicker than Old school wool blankets and just thinner than a Pea Coat.
The cut length of the "shirt" is not so long that you can tuck in the waist.
Your Long Underwear shirt your plaid cotton Flannel shirt then this over top with a Gore-tex shell. or stand alone.
Think of this a Wool "Levis Jean Jacket"

The sleeve length on the Medium Large and XL measures 35" Give or take 1/2 inch.
Wool has more flex than a poly cotton shirt.

All of the shirts are listed as Regular length. designed for a Canadian standing 5'9" - 6'0"
That said I'm 6'2 and the cuff comes back a little, but not scratching the elbow.
Whats an acceptable fit is more personal preference than a hard and fast figure.

Bought a cheap red 'made in china' hunting shirt at an army surplus store in sudbury years ago.
It was fine until I got caught in a heavy rain shower in the bush and my undershirt, underwear and all the skin on my torso wound up a patchy burgundy red.
It took a couple of showers and a lot of armstrong with a scrub brush before it came off.
