My first one was actually the fastest. So far my transfers have taken between 11-16 business days in Ontario.

Private sale FROM Ontario less than 36 hours.
Private sale TO Ontario almost 3 weeks.
Private sale TO/FROM AB, BC, SK, NT less than 48 hrs
Less than 48 hours , must be nice...

Bought my first pistol from Canada Ammo on a great deal including ammo and still couldn't be happier.

The pistol I bought on the EE that came from Alberta was faster than the AR I bought from the LGS. The pistol was my first restricted purchase

the only mistake is not handling the restricted before you commit to purchase. I've made my share of bad buys.

I'm in BC. Anything in the Province, AB or SK is completed within one business day... same day if I call first thing in the AM...

If not local you have to hope & pray Canada Post doesn't loose your gun !
Pre-orders are horrible for everyone involved. They never go smooth. We will not be doing a pre-order to bankroll this project.

Support local if you can but shopping around can usually give a better deal.

Okay thank you for clearing that up!
    It makes sense.

I thought that if I bought a gun from Ontario, their CFO would handle it and then pass it on to the CFO here in Manitoba.
The CFO here in Manitoba is alright (my RPAL only took 8 weeks from them receiving my application to me having it in my hand. No interview or references checked).

I have heard some horror stories about transfers and PAL wait times in Ontario, which is why I was a bit hesitant to order my first handgun from there....
Anyway thank you for clearing this up for me.

Tbh I don't know what the real transfer times are in Manitoba.
I said two weeks, but that is just what the guy at the gun counter in Cabela's told me so who knows...
