I have a Chinese Type 56 AK Drum Mag that fits and (presumably) functions just fine in my M10X as well as my Russian AKMS. Not sure what the problem with the Romanian Drum is - they should all fit if they are 7.62x39mm.....

If I had known they would’ve been on the shelf before I got mine I would’ve waited and gone that route. I’m not bitching about pre orders (I’m waiting for an SLR as well) just when the rifle is available those who are on the list should get them first.
Probably the retailer that got the complete order put in their order before the other company.

The Romanian one fits aswell. If it functions is a different story

Romanian drum on left, Russian drum on right

I thought some of you might be interested in a direct comparison shot with the inspiration for the complete Lower Receiver of the M10X as well as its Bolt Carrier Group, which is very close to the Swissarms (itself derived from the AK/AKM):

It is a .300 Blk 3-gill hexagonal design that I picked up somewhere in my e-shopping travels. I don't recall what brand or where, sorry.

BTW, the M10X Brake was a total PITA to remove! There are no wrench flats and I broke a tine off of the brake using a big-arsed screwdriver to try to lever it off by wedging the blade in the FH tines. I had to use a dremel with a cut-off wheel to cut through to the threads on 2 sides and snap the brake into two halves. I had to be very careful not to hit the barrel itself...
