Can you at least confirm that you are not making some Frankenstein abortion modification kit to an SKS?
There is enough of these horrid monstrosities already out there.
I really hope that is not the direction this rifle is going.
Can you at least confirm this?

We are not making some Frankenstein abortion modification kit to an SKS.

I can't even change the stock on an SKS and feel good about it.

Finally worked out a solution for a bolt catch release lever! Here is the latest iteration.

and no, i cannot agree, on CGN, to "shut up and take your money, or they'll pull my video for trying to be a business. Just had to add that disclaimer.

Did I miss something? Why is this posted on Canada Ammo forum? And why do we care about an SKS mod when we're talking about a NEW Canadian Made Black rifle project?

Short of ' I'm having a beer with Dlask tomorrow, I'll let you know how it goes ' then don't bother.

Times have changed to the point that they can have custom * not * 10/22 high cap mags made that are quality and affordable, then they can dust off the blueprints for that pump they had and get it NR'ed.

Otherwise the patents on the Mini 14 have long expired just like the 10/22. Worked fine in 5.56 and x39, just copy that in the Philippines or China.
    With AR mags!

Too many pages to read ..... sounds like something is in the works?

    I have low expectations ....

    5.56 or 7.62x39
    Takes pistol mags
    Non-restricted
    3 moa of better
    Reliable
    Straight barrel
    Parts and mag availability
$1,000 or less ..... there are already $1,500 options
Doesn’t look like it’s made out of Legos

No! with Lego attachment points! Then we can build whatever accessories we want! But yeah, excited for details.

Forget about the accuracy restriction, a quality barrel could eat 1/3 of the budget or more if you want it under $1000. As long as it uses an AR-15 compatible barrel you can upgrade at any time if you're not happy with the accuracy you're getting.
Straight barrel? As opposed to bent? Not sure where you're going with that one.
I doubt it can be done for $1000 or less anyway but the more accuracy you want the more it will cost.
