    The B&T P26 classification

After approx. 12 months the RCMP SFSS have classified the P26 prohibited. I quote the following from their report:

Based on testing conducted, and the susceptibility of the firearm design to be converted to fire full automatic, the B&T Model P26 firearm, serial number CA 15-0216 is found to be readily and easily converted to discharge shots in rapid succession with a single pressure of the trigger in a relatively short time period with relative ease. As such, the B&T Model P26 meets the Criminal Code definition of an “automatic firearm” and “prohibited firearm”.

Apparently 12 months is "a very short time" in the minds of the RCMP lab geeks. Ridiculous.
