We just received another batch of fake suppressors. If you're not familiar let me walk you through it. They are milled from a solid piece of aluminum, if you look down the hole you'll see no baffles, just a bore big enough for the bullet. It is not designed to affect the bullet, noise, flash etc in any way.

There are two styles. These first two are regular/forward style. That means it screws on the end of the barrel like a real suppressor and makes your gun longer.

Fake Can/Suppressor for AR-15 - M4-Style

Now these other cans below I call 'reverse style' or 'shroud-style' which means it actually slides down over the barrel like a condom, and attaches at the can's downrange end, so your gun ends up the same length while making your barrel look shorter. Here's a cross-section drawing:

Now these reverse-style cans you'll want to check the product page for the specs to make sure you have enough exposed barrel to accommodate the can.

Other than looking "cool" do these do anything other than add weight to the business end of your rifle?

The more I see of you gus on the forum the more I love you.

I built a fake can for my buddies mossberg .22LR and beside the handguns in the next bay it actually did sound suppressed....lol. There were curious eyes for sure.

It's hilarious....I mean come on people! If a person was gonna build a prohibited device then the last place they would test it is at the range hanging off their restricted rifle.
Oh and before you ask, YES the mags I listed are pinned to 5. If you want full cap mags then move to the U.S or go buy a cordless drill.
/end rant

Keep it up TNA!

What threads?
Do they screw apart to clean ?

the only threads are those that screw to your muzzle. it's just a solid round bar with a bore through. So if you have the regular style that extends your barrel, yes you might want to clean occasionally the bore but no disassembly is required. The reverse/shroud style suppressors should not need any deep cleaning since the bullet comes right out the tip anyway.
