Will a clamshell upper receiver block work on your prototype?!

Quick question, How well does the upper and lower fit together? Is it a nice snug fit or does it have a little rattle to it? Just curious.

no, you'll need to use a torque tool

it slides on smoothly but with little or no 'play'. when you tighten down the screw it feels pretty solid.

you can see the screw in these pics:

looking up from below (magwell is on the right) you can see the takedown screw head. The littler screw retains the big guy.



at left you can see the protrusion from the Upper that goes into a pocket on the Lower:
