A friend of mine has the pump in .223, and while he loves the rifle for freehand, it is a pita for benchrest. I had no desire for the pump version, but, might be inclined towards this straight pull version in .308 (I already have a good bolt .223.

Obviously you haven't been harassed by LEO/Fish and wildlife before with a "scary" looking semi-auto......and tried to explain its non-restricted.

Some of us love the modularity and custom ergonomics of this "type of looking" rifle for hunting. You can build it exactly to your specs for what you need while hunting. I.E adjustable LOP (for heavy winter clothing to maintain eye relief), folding stock for wearing on your back (drastically reducing its length) while stalking that ram up some "hellish" incline, pistol grip for solid grip while carrying and for quick transition to the eye, adding use of a barricade stop on the railed forend ...so you can use any tree whatsoever as a rock solid rest...for those quick shots in the heavy timber........ability to have magazines...for a fast reload in case of a sketchy situation....I could go on..and on..

I am also very interested in how well the forward spring assist works with loading..betcha it's really smooth and fast

can't wait to get my hands on one
