Nice shooting. I also use heavier soft point bullets.

Shot this one in the chest between the front legs with a 6mm 85gr speer sp. No exit. 70-75 yards Muzzle speed was 2994 fps. As for camo I was sitting in some grass wearing a blue hoddie and shiny ear muffs.

I'm trying out the 65 Grain Sierra Game King, going at about 2900 FPS.

I usually use 55 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips, but I keep thinking if ever a wolf were to show up I'd want something a bit heaver plus less frangible.
If the Sierras perform like this one, I will only use them; as the Noslers can really blow up a coyote if you hit the shoulder blade.
I do skin them, and the less I have to patch up the better.

Yes, this coyote was called in, took about 15 minutes.
I use Sceery mouth blown calls, I have never used the electronic ones.
also cammo is a must, them dogs aint blind.

That's a great bullet. Same bullet I have been using for 4-5 years. It works great

    Nice Dog!!!

I find that without cammo they hangup at 600+ yards and bark at me.
Could be that they see me walking up to the place(s) I call from.

Nice shooting guys - desperately waiting till January 1 so i can get 1018 game tags and back out for coyotes / wolves. Shot some new loads with Nosler Ballistic Silvertips in my 22-250. Going to be fielding those in the new year.
