Any cool black rifle that was around in late 80's or early 90's got banned. Case in point the Benelli M1 is banned while the newer very similar M4 isn't. The only thing that saved the AR was its sporting exemption for service rifle shoots.
Long time ago I used to be police detective, and this rifle was our main service rifle, great gun strong and reliable in any condition

It's a damn shame that the government considers us all to be potential criminals. AUGs are among my most wanted guns, alongside FALs.
