Just like in canada. The firearm regulations states that It's illegal to transport a loaded firearm on a motor vehicule.

Huh? I carry in "cruiser ready". Tube loaded, safety off, pin dropped on an empty chamber. Only need to rack the action to get the gun into play.

Fumbling with a magazine while a bear is charging or preparing to charge doesn't seem like a great idea to me.

If I'm carrying on a quad or in a truck, there's not much need to be ready for a fast shot. Not going to need to be much faster than a combat reload in that case.
