    Ruger 10/22 Takedown

Just bought a Ruger 10/22 Takedown. Was wondering if any one wants to share there knowledge on what scope to put on and are the scopes to come off and on when put back in carrying case? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to CGN. If you learn to use the CGN search function, you can often find what you need, here are a few I found:

Quick Release (QR) rings make it easy to remove and reattach a scope (Google search image):

The bugbusters aren't bad for the price I paid.... around $125 shipped with detachable rings if I recall.
Not as nice as TomE's Nikon but a more compact package.

The BackPacker stock is real nice addition to the takedown.

From my experience if you want to take your scope off a lot I would get a one piece scope mount that is meant to be taken off and hold zero. For a .22 you wouldn't have to buy a great one. Any scope rings should be fine most of the time but if you're shooting out past 75 yards I would definitely get one that's meant to be taken off. Also remember to put it on the same place on the rail lol.
